There is usually at least one topic or concept that I am interested in at any given time. I'll look up more information about it, read a book, maybe listen to a podcast or watch a documentary. Then do absolutely nothing with it until trivia night.

I also enjoy creating teaching materials - so much so that I am currently finishing up a masters degree in instructional design. Part of my program was the creating and publishing a digital portfolio.

In an effort to continue to grow my instructional design and writing skills (and use the website I already paid for!) I decided that I will start creating and sharing learning materials and eLearning experiences about the random topics I am learning about.

Welcome to my rabbit hole.

In this blog, you'll find posts documenting the creation of instructional design materials, completed projects, more information about instructional design and education topics, and deep dives into random topics. Also, possibly some photos of my cat and self-appointed design assistant, Sisko. (His sister, Picard, may also make a few appearances.)

While I am using this blog as a professional development project, it is also a personal. It is not related to my day job. The topics are chosen based on personal interests, I'll be sharing works-in-progress, and trying out new technologies and processes while creating.

Teaching is a great way to learn something. I'm hoping that creating learning materials is, too.
